Katherine is committed to advancing the efforts of our educators and the families that support our most vulnerable students.
As School Committee Chair, Katherine conducts fair, open and inclusive meetings in full compliance with MA Open Meeting Laws. Additionally, she serves as Vice-chair of the Fox Hll Building Committee and appoints numerous subcommittees. She proudly represents BPS at the community, state and federal levels.
Katherine serves as Vice Chair of the Fox Hill New School Building Project. She hopes to continue leveraging her professional experience reviewing RFP’s, RFI’s and negotiating contracts with major corporations. These skills are imperative to delivering new school buildings to the Burlington community, on schedule and within budget.
Katherine served on the DEI selection committee. She is committed to supporting equity and inclusion for all students in each of Burlington's schools.
Katherine believes that in order to best educate and support Burlington's students, we must support the continued education of our teachers and staff. Katherine is committed to delivering the specialized seminars, research tools and training our educators need to ensure our students and staff thrive.
Katherine is one of two liaisons to the Burlington Special Education Parent Advisory Council.
Katherine is committed to ensuring every student's unique educational needs are met within a culture of kindness and inclusion.
Katherine served on the Transportation Committee and helped implement Safe Routes to School as well as a plan with the Select-board to provide rides for students from their after-school activities.
